ABOUT SAM ITA

Born in 1978, Sam Ita grew up in a small town near the Canadian border. He studied graphic design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. After working as a pedicab driver and luggage salesman, and other odd jobs, Sam eventually answered a classified ad in the Village Voice, which led to his first paper engineering job. His numerous titles include Pop-Up books, Origami, and works of Paper Craft.

TOKYO POP-UP BOOK

Tokyo Pop-Up Book cleverly pairs cultural and geographical information with artful paper engineering and an exciting storyline. Follow Chico, a 13-year-old shutterbug, and his mischievous cat Neko as they travel to the world's largest city. It doesn't take long for things to go off course when Neko decides to do some sightseeing on her own!

FLYING DRAGONS PAPER AIRPLANE KIT

This paper airplane kit features a fabulous variety of dragon-themed paper planes—each with a unique form and flight characteristics. This box contains everything you need to create 48 exciting flying dragons in 12 different sizes and designs. If you're new to paper or origami airplanes, the full-color instruction book provides step-by-step folding instructions for each model and "dragon mastery tips" to help you coax the best performance from each airplane. The planes in this box range from simple ones that can be folded in under a minute to slightly more complex models that look and fly like their mythological namesakes.
